SPECTRASCOPE / GENERATIVE PLAY

Beat patch programmer

Program a musical personality. Bound every exposed sound and sequence control, choose how often it changes, then generate and audition all sixteen pads.

Musical recipe / style and progression

Drag the minimum and maximum sliders to bound a parameter. Equal endpoints lock it. Auto restores its musical recipe. Ranges override matching controls above; they persist for new starters, never rewrite saved songs. Rolling paths take priority over scattered pitch offsets and root anchoring. Duration nudges snap down to the pulse grid and may be limited by the exact bar budget.

Musical recipe boundaries

Use horizontal sliders or arrow keys. Generate song chooses a fresh seed within your boundaries; Open this beat transfers that same seed and recipe to Play. Default banks use short fourths/fifths chunks of 1 → 4 → 7 → 3 → 6 → 2 → 5 → 1. In each eight-pad key group, four patterns start or end on 1 and four avoid it. Circle progression recipe controls coverage, tonic count and direction; its generated-degree readout shows the result. Circle pads keep base and Alternate roots on the chosen scale; direct per-stage overrides apply last. Other progression choices use scale-degree templates: modal vamps, descending motion, harmonic-minor cadences, ii–V–i and circle motion. Related borrowing and Alternates use common-tone suggestions rather than arbitrary chromatic picks. These are bounded musical recipes, not a complete jazz reharmonization engine. Groove changes and Variation still gate their optional effects. Use Audition here, or open the exact generated beat in Play. Saved songs remain untouched.
